What is Jeuveau?

Jeuveau is the brand name of a new cosmetic neurotoxin. This protein temporarily blocks muscles under the skin. These are the muscles that otherwise create wrinkles. It is very similar to brand Botox, but newer and powerful. Some call it ‘New tox’. Treatment requires no downtime. You can return to your daily routine and need only a few days of mild precautions. Who performs Jeuveau and other injections at Phaze?

Dr. Thaker our medical director performs all injections and is a noted injectables expert. He has taught hundreds of M.D.s how to perform cosmetic injections as a continuing medical education course director. So you are in good hands! What is new tox?

”New tox” is the nick name for Jeaveau as it is newer than Botox and at one point was the newest toxin on the market for cosmetic injections in Las Vegas. It is similar to Botox in its formulation and considered powerful versus the other handful of ”botox” type injections on the market.

When will I see results?

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours or so. It delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines.

How long does it last?

There is a famous ‘rule of threes’ that is a general guideline. Cosmetic neurotoxins or ”the toxes” takes 3 days to start working, peaks at about 3 weeks, and at 3 months you may seek another treatment. We see in our Las Vegas office, that there is tremendous variation however. Many people get 3-6months of improvement with regular use.

Is getting Botox or Jeauveau painful?

We use special tiny needles that are so small and thin, they can bend just by entering the skin. These are the smallest needles available. Some patients find simple ice can make injections even easier to tolerate. Most do not report much pain at all.

Are there many kinds of ”botox”?

Botox is a brand but people call all cosmetic neurotoxins ”botox” as well, such as Jeuveau. There are still only a handful of competitors and Dr Thaker has used all versions. We can help you select what is best for your treatment goals. Contact us here for an appointment.
